Parks is proud to highlight the managing broker of our Smyrna office, Virginia Pappafotis!

Virginia has been a real estate agent since 1998 and a part of the Parks family for 22 years. Prior to real estate, Virginia attended Auburn University and Middle Tennessee State University before working in the education and medical fields for a short time. When it comes to real estate, she specializes in contracts, negotiations, and problem-solving.

With a desire to delve into new construction properties, Virginia began working for Bob Parks in 1999. She worked with five different builders during the early part of her real estate career and found it to be challenging, yet highly rewarding. Virginia thanks her husband, Joe Chittaphong, for being supportive, understanding, and at her side throughout the experience. After maintaining top sales for the Smyrna office, she decided to get her broker's license. This was the perfect move as her teaching skills were surfacing and she longed to help educate other agents.

“I truly love all of the experiences, challenges, and rewards of a long real estate career. However, my passion has always been to see my real estate family succeed and surpass all expectations. There is no greater joy than to know that you have helped someone reach their full potential and exceed their goals,” Virginia stated.

Virginia has had a long list of accomplishments while in real estate. She has served as a member of the Tennessee REALTORS® Forms Committee for three terms alongside many amazing agents. Virginia has also served on the Middle Tennessee Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors for two terms, as well as holding the position of Board President in 2015. On top of that, she held a position on the Board of Directors for RealTracs for two terms.

When asked what tips she would offer new agents, Virginia said, “First, and most importantly, show up! Perseverance pays off. Also, make sure you’re working the Ninja system. It really works!”

Virginia grew up in Huntsville, Alabama where she was the product of a super-smart, rocket scientist father and a “people person” stay-at-home mother. The long-lasting consequence of this has been that she starves for new challenges, research, and working with people. In her spare time, Virginia loves reading, hiking, and all water activities.

“I told Bob recently that I have never dreaded pulling into the parking lot of 557 Sam Ridley Pkwy. The adventures, experiences, and people have kept me attentive and satisfied. I truly love what I do,” she stated.
